The Senior Gents wrestled back the Columbine Cup from the Ladies today
by a margin of 8 - 4.
In a closely fought contest, several of the games
went to a dramatic last putt on the 18th green.
Kathy Cameron, Lady Captain, made a gracious speech and presented the
winning Captain Ian MacPherson with the coveted Columbine Cup.
To end the day Morna Steven, who had a Hole-in-one last Friday, was
presented with the Patience Cup by Rae Brass. This Cup was given by Rae
seven years ago in honour of her mother, Patience Halhead. Morna
will retain the cup until the next lady has a Hole-in-one.
Thanks to everyone for all their work making this such an enjoyable day,
especially Ian MacPherson, Kathy Cameron and Match Secretary, Fiona
Johnstone. All the Matches were played in a wonderful, sporting spirit,
followed by a very convivial meal. Well done gentlemen...but watch out
next year! (Nicked from Margaret Hunter's Ladies Blog)
