It's been the wettest winter on record, but that doesn't stop us Seniors getting in a quick Winter League, does it?

Traditional “Address to a Haggis”

Laurence Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Gask performs “Address to a Haggis” at our Burns Nicht attended by a full house of members and guests.  Blair-Oliphant is known for his Highland re-enactments and Burns repertoire performed the ceremony in traditional highland dress from the1745.  Piper Andy McQueen looks on.
Laurence also did a splendid rendition of “To A Louse” to great acclaim.

David Adam's "The Immortal memory" was indeed memorable and amusing, and Ian McMurray's "Toast to the Lassies" was splendid and witty.  Two excellent performances!

Robin Duncan guided us through proceedings, ably supported by Kathy Cameron (Reply to the Lassies), and the vote of thanks was by Alistair Cameron.

We enjoyed music frae twa lads frae Tealing wha's names I canna mind (Squeeze box and Guitar), much appreciated.

  A great nicht......

Blairgowrie Fixture Card Error

Looking forward to Summer !

You will not yet  have received your BGC fixture card for Season 2016 , however I have been alerted that there has been an error with one of the Senior’s  fixtures.

The lists you have received from me are correct,  however on the fixture card, the match against St Andrews AWAY is showing correctly as Wednesday 18th May, but then it also has the same fixture down again on  20th May  !!!!!  - So please ignore that, as we have a match against Panmure AWAY on the 19th May.

I believe there is now a vacancy for a proof reader at BGC .

Hope you are all enjoying this weather … yuk !!

Regards

Ian

Charities for the Seniors Group in 2016

The Seniors Section will have a collection box available at all our Home games to help support these two charities.  Any donations will be most welcome and the total collected at the end of the season will be announced at the Senior's Dinner, and on this Blog.  I'm sure everyone will agree they are very worthwhile charities for our section to support.
